Do you need a refill?

woman-with-coffee-fall-tree-550x300 It’s officially Fall – a time of change. The kids are back in school, and hopefully, you are getting established in this season’s rhythms by now. It’s hard to believe this year is almost in its fourth quarter. The season of giving is fast approaching. The holiday season, the time of work parties and family visits and doing and giving, is just around the corner. I get tired just thinking about it. However, this is not the time to go into dread and collapse (note to self). Now is the time to give to yourself! This is the time to fill your own cup. How can you give if your cup is empty? That’s why we have spiritual practices. To help us to clean the gunk out of the cup of our hearts and fill them with pure water. If you have studied with UOS, here’s a reminder of some practices that help us at this time and every day:

  • the Remembrance meditation for washing your heart;
  • the Wird recitation, which literally means “watering hole;”
  • the Tawba practice for returning your heart to witnessing the Truth; and
  • the Salat prayer to remind you of your place in the universe, and to remind you to place your head beneath your heart.

  If you are looking for a spiritual practice that brings daily relief and healing and resets the direction of your inner compass to direct your path toward your truths, you are welcome to connect with us. You can start with the 7-Day Sufi Spiritual Renewal and Healing eCourse, which teaches the Remembrance meditation. Click here to access this FREE class. If you’re not sure where to begin – yes, we have a number of options! – schedule a chat with one of our Admissions Counselors. They are not there to sell to you.
