We sent out a notice earlier this week about the upcoming webinar, Qur’anic Arabic for Beginners. First, I want to apologize for the late notice. With Ramadan and recent travels, I seem to have fallen a bit behind.
Secondly, I want to announce a date change for the start of this webinar. You have a little more time to free up your calendar. However, enrollment is limited to just 10 people, so you’ll want to reserve your space as soon as possible.
Why learn Qur’anic Arabic?
Allah puts many secrets in the universe to help us to know Him. There are secrets in the letters of the sacred language of Arabic, in the sounds they represent and in the words that are formed when the letters and sounds come together.
There are many benefits available to us when we learn to read and recite the words of the Qur’an in the Arabic language.
Sidi has encouraged us to take advantage of these hidden gifts through learning the sacred language of Arabic, especially as related to the healing prayers that he teaches us and the ayat of the Qur’an.
In one of his last books, The Gift of Healing, Sidi wrote:
When you listen to the words of Allah, you feel that the words
do not resemble poetry or prose or any speech of people. You notice
a special rhythm that you cannot find in any other speech. This is
why Allah (subhanaha wa ta ‘ala) says, “Had it been possible for a
recitation to cause the mountains to move, or the earth to be torn apart,
or the dead to speak, this Qur’an would have done so.”
This rhythm suits the rhythm within a person’s brain. Allah
(subhanah wa ta ‘ala) made everything in the universe with a
frequency specific to it and He created the brain of every human
being with a frequency similar to that of the Qur’an.
To help those of us who are new to these studies, our beloved brother Ahmed Manawy has developed a course specifically for followers of Sidi in the Shadhiliyya tariqa to teach us to read, write and pronounce the Arabic that has been taught so far at UOS in healings, qualities, and the Qur’an class.
We are excited to offer you an opportunity to learn Arabic from your home. This course is teaching an entry level for beginners. Spend twelve weeks learning the Arabic letters, words, and getting their pronunciation and healing vibrations just right, with the guidance of native speaker Ahmad Manawy.
This is a 12-week webinar on Tuesdays beginning August 2nd.
We hope you’ll take advantage of this special opportunity designed just for us.
With love and gratitude,
Mastura Graugnard on behalf of all your friends and family at UOS
