You may have heard that our guide, Sidi, has fallen ill this week. He is currently in the hospital, and we believe he will soon be making his transition from the body to the world of the one Love. I believe I speak for many of us when I say our hearts and bodies may feel sadness and waves of emotions, yet we are overwhelmed with immense gratitiude for what we have been given and the blessings we continue to receive. I have a message from our Co-Presidents to share with you today:
From Salima Adelstien:
“We send our prayers and our blessings to our guide at this point in his life. We allow our hearts to feel his spirit, as he’s told us many times that he can work even deeper with us in the spirit than his body. This is an opportunity to walk deeper with our guide in the spirit and to actualize and manifest the teachings that he’s given us over the years.”
From Kamila Shenmen:
“When I pray for Sidi there’s a beautiful powerful light that’s coming through and filling my heart. My heart is very soft and tender. There’s a tenderness that comes with grieving. It softens our hearts.
At the same time, I’m so grateful for how blessed we have been that Allah made us the children of Sidi, that He gave us Sidi as our father. That’s an incredible blessing. I feel like Allah is giving us a little taste of the experience of the companions when the Prophet died.
My spirit knows that everything is perfect, that our guide is not leaving us. He will always be with us. Like everyone, my humanity is sad because my father is dying, and I know it won’t be long before I join him.
For now, his spirit will be with us. We should spend our time praying and asking for blessings that Allah gives him every good and blesses him for all the good that he has done in this world and will continue to do in this world. Al-humduli’llah (praise be to the One).”
If you feel so called, please join us in praying for blessings on our guide over the next week. Thank you!
