John Abd al-Qadir Davies, Ph.D., has over 30 years’ experience in applied peacemaking and teaching around the world, including as Co-Director of Partners in Peacebuilding at the Center for International Development and Conflict Management, University of Maryland; co-founder of the Masters in Peacemaking Program at the University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism; Professorial Lecturer in Conflict Management, Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins University; visiting lecturer at the National Defense University; and Co-Director of the Center for Living Peace and the Living Peace Program at the Farm of Peace.

He has led or partnered in peace building initiatives in over 30 countries, consulted with the US (State, Defense, AID), the UN (Peackeeping Operations) and many other governments and organizations, and has trained thousands of professionals in conflict transformation, prevention, reconciliation, peace building and development. He provides facilitation, mediation, consulting, training and coaching in these areas at all levels from intergovernmental organizations and national and local government agencies, to police, corporations, non-profits, businesses, communities, families and individuals.
