Qur’anic Arabic
with Ahmed Manway

ABOUT THIS COURSE:
Developed specifically for followers of Sidi in the Shadhiliyya tariqa, students of this course will learn to read, write and pronounce the Arabic that has been taught so far at USHS in healings, qualities, and the Qur’an class.

Many of the exercises and examples come from practicing how to connect the Arabic Alphabet (Adawt al-rab’t), with readings and writings from both modern and classical spiritual texts. Students will also explore specific topics in learning the Arabic alphabet through the beautiful names of Allah as well as Qur’anic ayats which are customarily used for healing.

By reviewing and going into greater depth in the treatment of these topics, the course will provide students with greater understanding of how the language works and give you a solid foundation for further studies in Arabic. Class sizes are capped, so register early to ensure your spot!

As we know, sound is vibration which arrives at the ear, transfers to signals in the brain, and affects the cells vibration. When a patient listens to the Qur’an, its vibration positively affects the vibration of his cells which adjust them to their normal rate with which Allah created them. This is because the Qur’an is distinguished with a unique harmonious rhythm that does not exist in any other speech.
