Amany Shalaby graduated as an electrical engineer from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt in 1985. She obtained her postgraduate diploma in Islamic Studies from the Islamic College of Advancing Studies, Middlesex University, London, UK in 2002. She obtained her master’s degree in Comparative Philosophy of Religions at Middlesex University, London, UK in 2015. Amany works as a translator of Islamic books and teaches in diverse study circles across the United States on Islamic spirituality.

Currently, Amany teaches Islamic studies at University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism. She worked as a translator and interpreter for Shaikh Muhammad al-Jamal who was served as an Imam in al-Masjid al-Aqsa and was the head of the Sufi Counsel in Jerusalem.

She is a cofounder of Radiant Hands Inc., a non-profit organization that helps women in need in the Central Florida area.

Amany is the author of “The Essence of Creation” and “The Emanation of Consciousness.” She also has two published books for children: “Goha and His Donkey,” and “Little Puffer Fish.”
