Singing for Allah in the Shower – of Love!
with Laila Walzer

ABOUT THIS COURSE:

Singing and making sacred sound is is our birthright, and is an inherent part of the Shadduli path. Yet, many of us want more confidence and effectiveness in fulfilling and leading our chanted practices. We are often self-conscious, disconnected, or at a loss as to how to lead others, hesitant as to how to fulfill our walking as a murid(student) and/or as a teacher.

This course invites and shows students how to reclaim and take sacred pleasure in making a joyful noise unto the Divine, as we were created to do, embracing our chanted practices, and opening ourselves and others to deeper knowledge of our Selves and of Allah, (swa), insha’llah.

We will draw from readings and recitations from Sidi and the Quran, the al wird (Sufi daily practices), some of the more common prayerful phrases/du’aah), physical and vocal explorations, optional home “play,” and fun!

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE:

Course attendees will finish the course with a solid introduction to techniques and practice of chanting and praying with more pleasure, confidence, ease and depth of understanding and transmission.

Students will also have an additional 30 minute private coaching session with the instructor.
